1. Who we are
SalonLog is operated by Mbali Pearl Msweli trading as SalonLog, a sole proprietor in South Africa. SalonLog is not a registered company. In these Terms, "SalonLog", "we" and "us" mean the operator, and "you" means the person who creates or uses a SalonLog account.
You can reach us through the Contact SalonLog form at salonlog.com/contact, by WhatsApp or by phone on +27 73 809 4340.
2. What SalonLog is
SalonLog is an online salon-management service. It helps a salon record the services its team performs, the amounts charged, its employees, the cash in the salon and simple estimates of what each employee is owed.
SalonLog does not process or move money, and it is not payroll or accounting software. Pay figures are estimates calculated from the information you enter.
3. Your account
- Give correct information when you register and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private and do not share your account.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what the team members you give access to do.
- Tell us through the contact form straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Free early access
- Your first three months are free, counted from the day you create your salon.
- No card is needed. Payments are not active, and nothing is charged during the free period.
5. After the free period
- When payments are available, we will show you the price and what it covers, and you decide whether to pay.
- Pay only for the months you choose. Nothing renews automatically. We never charge you unless you choose a plan.
- If our payment system is not ready when your free period ends, we may extend your free period. We will tell you clearly when we do.
- We will not delete your salon's records just because our payment system is not ready.
6. Your salon information
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you record and for having the right to record it, including your employees' details.
- Let your employees know that you use SalonLog to record their work.
- Your salon records belong to you.
7. What you may not do
You may not:
- use SalonLog for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
- try to see or change another salon's information;
- test, probe or attack SalonLog's security, or try to get around its limits;
- overload SalonLog or copy it with automated tools;
- upload harmful code;
- give false information about who you are; or
- resell or rent SalonLog to others without our written permission.
8. Availability
We work to keep SalonLog available, secure and backed up. It may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, faults or events outside our reasonable control, and we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. SalonLog does not yet have a download button for your records. If you need a copy of your salon's records, ask us through the contact form and we will send it to you.
9. Suspending an account
We may suspend or close an account to protect SalonLog or other users, to prevent fraud, or because of serious or repeated misuse of these Terms. Unless the law or security prevents it, we will tell you why.
10. Stopping and what happens to your information
- You may stop using SalonLog at any time.
- To close your account and have your salon's records deleted, use the contact form and choose "Privacy request". Your salon closes 30 days after you ask, so you can change your mind, and you can ask us for a copy of your records before then. When the 30 days end, we delete your salon's records and tell you when it is done.
- Copies can remain in our encrypted backups after that. Each backup is deleted automatically 45 days after it is made.
- We keep a record of what you agreed to, and records the law requires us to keep. The Privacy Policy explains this.
11. Our responsibility to you
During early access SalonLog is free. As far as South African law allows, we are not responsible for:
- indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit;
- loss caused by incorrect information entered into SalonLog; or
- events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be limited, or our responsibility for gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will publish the new version with its date and version number, and tell you before an important change takes effect. If a change affects paying for SalonLog, we will ask you to accept the new Terms first.
13. Law
South African law applies to these Terms, and South African courts have jurisdiction.
14. Contact
Use the Contact SalonLog form at salonlog.com/contact, WhatsApp us or call +27 73 809 4340. Never send your password or sensitive employee information through WhatsApp.
